Nothing says, "I don't care about societal standards" quite like mixing styles with a reckless abandon. That wasn't actually my intention when I initially created this look, but the replacement jeans I recently picked up are slimmer than the previous pair. So, I reworked the whole look.
A skinnier cut jean is less rugged, more urban. So I changed out the standard black crew neck tee for a California boat neck. Instead of wearing my badass old Duckie Brown boots, I wore my old canvas Vivobarefoot Ra II's. However, I miscalculated how idiosyncratic the two styles would look together. It's real... slouchy.
This PACT hoodie is warm. It's been too warm to wear here in LA until this past week. It was a bit of an impulse buy because the sale price costs as much as a tee. I don't usually wear light grey, but after seeing how these photos turned out, I might start. As dope as they are, I still don't feel like they do the hoodie justice, so I will be reshooting it when I have the jean situation figured out.
The hidden Product Details on PACT's website boast that this is the world's first Fair Trade zip-up hoodie. Maybe it is. My favorite detail, which was too hard to show, is layer of cotton jersey lining the inside of the hood.
