Shifted and Thrifted
As the world takes a frighteningly familiar turn toward the decisiveness and efficiency of an authoritarian world power, I cannot help but to contemplate my role in such a mad world. Does ecofashion matter when potentially facing World War III? Obviously not.
However, changing my course of action because the world seems to be on a different page at the moment doesn't seem logical either. If I'm going to be marginalized, segregated, hunted, sent to war, imprisoned, annihilated, or forced to work for scraps, then I might as well do what I want while I still can, right? Well, what I want to do is express my discontent (Exhibit Face) while keeping it moving in a more positive direction. So, let's get back to our regular scheduled programming.
My favorite thing about this sweater is the long zippered collar. This is particularly useful for keeping my curls intact, or in this case, my über masculine french braids. The whole tunic and slim jeans thing is a bit trendier than I would usually mess with, but really nothing makes me feel more like a man than a shirt-dress.
The backpack was an accidental find. One of those I happened to be here for something specific but that's inexpensive as hell, so I'll be snaggin that right quick moments. As you can plainly see in some of the pictures, it's made by incase. I'm only telling you this because incase is a well-known 3rd party accessory maker for Apple. Point is, this backpack is a lowkey laptop bag, made less lowkey by the exterior branding, which in thinking about, I should cut off. Inside, it has a thick padded section to protect a Macbook (Pro). It's green so I didn't want to show you, but it looks like a stuffed crust pizza in there. Mmm... pizza.
There is plenty of space for other periphery items like chargers, tablets, mice, etc. inside the main pocket with an easy access pocket on the top and a you probably won't use me pocket right below that. Each side has two exterior pockets that I will be using to house my Accomplice.
All-in-all, I couldn't be happier with these two finds or the rest of the new garments I got from the two different trips to Crossroads. So as the world is shifting, looks like I'll be doing more thrifting. If you laughed at that, I pity you and your corny sense of humor : P
